For a couple to be married in the Catholic Church at least one of the couple must be a baptised catholic.
Couples wishing to be married in the Nambucca Valley Parish need to make contact with the parish at least 6 months before the proposed wedding date to arrange a meeting with the priest and book a tentative date.
Both parties will need recent copies of both birth and baptismal certificates (even if baptised as an Anglican, Presbyterian etc).
It is a requirement that the couple intending to be married undertake a pre-marriage course.
Pre-marriage courses are not held in the Nambucca Valley Parish, however, most larger parishes run them. The closest would be St Augustine’s Parish Coffs Harbour, which runs three courses each year.
